The Druid class in Diablo IV possesses the remarkable ability to shapeshift between human, Werebear, and Werewolf forms. Unlike Diablo II’s Druids, Diablo IV’s Druids can instantly transform when using beast-themed skills before executing the associated actions, though the transformed state lasts only until the next move.
Additionally, Druids are skilled magic users, specializing in Earth and Storm spells to disable enemies while battling evil forces. For example, they can use Crushing Blow to inflict damage based on a target’s total life. Many Druid skills also make targets Vulnerable, causing them to take considerable extra damage from subsequent hits.
Druids have Companions that automatically engage in combat without needing to be summoned, and each companion has an active skill to deal damage to specific targets. Druids’ key stats, as well as those for the Necromancer class, remain largely unknown.
Initial information suggests that the Druid’s unique class mechanic involves collecting special loot to offer to spirit animals. In return, the spirit animals grant various passive bonuses depending on their type. While the number of available spirit types is unknown, each can provide up to six offensive and defensive passive effects.
If you enjoy experimenting with diverse playstyles that involve shapeshifting and unleashing elemental powers, the Druid class is an excellent choice!
