Fractured Peaks

The Fractured Peaks present a formidable landscape marked by rugged steppes and paths blanketed in snow, offering a challenging environment teeming with demons to vanquish and mysteries to unveil. The harsh, mountainous terrain has discouraged most adventurers from venturing into this icy expanse, which is peppered with decaying ruins and age-old cathedrals. Despite the danger, some individuals have made the Peaks their home, living in perpetual apprehension that threats could emerge at any weak moment. As darkness envelops the Peaks, villagers retreat to the safety of their settlements, for those left outside are assumed dead, either devoured by monsters or claimed by the bitter cold. In the Fractured Peaks, inhabitants hold onto both glimmers of light and their faith.

A group of religious fanatics, comprising devoted monks seeking solace and enlightenment within the seclusion of the Peaks, also inhabit the region. Their unwavering belief in divine powers affords them a feeling of warmth and protection during the night, but it renders them utterly unaware of the creeping dangers that surround them.

The Fractured Peaks’ melting snow nourishes the swamps of Hawezar, with a multitude of waterfalls adorning the area’s southern region.
