Rogue Starting Stats

Strength: 7
Dexterity: 10
Intelligence: 7
Willpower: 8

The Rogue is a nimble assassin skilled in swift movement, allowing them to reposition themselves for a tactical advantage in combat or to escape when the situation becomes too dangerous. Unlike Barbarians, Rogues can seamlessly switch between melee and ranged weapons like daggers, swords, and bows, providing exceptional versatility. In Diablo IV, the Rogue takes inspiration from both Diablo II’s Amazon and Diablo III’s Demon Hunter.

The key stats for this class are Dexterity to boost skill damage and dodge capabilities, Strength to increase energy regeneration, and Intelligence to enhance critical hit chance and overall resistance.

The Rogue’s distinctive class mechanic, Talent Specializations, is split into Combo Points, Inner Sight, and Preparation, each offering its own questlines. However, it’s not yet confirmed whether all three specializations can be active simultaneously or if they’re limited to one at a time. Preparation remains untested, as it unlocks at Level 30.

Combo Points are gained by using Basic Rogue Skills and can be consumed with Core Skills to unleash extra effects. Inner Sight involves marking enemies and attacking them to fill a gauge, which temporarily grants unlimited energy when full, proving effective against bosses.

The Rogue’s adaptability extends to imbuing attacks with specific effects like Poison, Shadow, and Cold, typically applied to Core Skills and multi-target damaging abilities like Rapid Fire.

If you’re interested in playing a fast-paced class that excels at dealing physical damage using melee and ranged weapons, and you enjoy quickly changing positions to gain an edge in combat, the Rogue may be the perfect choice for you.
